The Polish Embassy in Georgia has announced that Georgia is no longer included among the countries whose citizens can use Poland’s simplified work-visa pathway.
A new directive from Poland’s Minister of Family, Labour and Social Policy specifies which nationalities remain eligible for the faster employment procedure. The revised list now covers Armenia, Belarus, Moldova, and Ukraine, with Georgia removed.
The embassy noted that applications submitted by Georgians before the order took effect will still be processed under the old simplified system. Georgian citizens already working in Poland may continue their employment until their current authorization expires, with no immediate changes to their ongoing contracts.
Until now, the simplified procedure applied only to nationals of Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine. But beginning in December, the updated regulation reduces the list to four countries, removing Georgia.
Georgians who filed applications before the order was issued will still have them processed under the previous simplified system.
The regulation also states that Georgian citizens currently employed in Poland on the basis of a registered employer declaration may keep working under that same authorization until it reaches its expiration date.
