Ukrainian "Ghost" elite unit destroy high-value Russian air defence systems in Donbas

Ukraine’s elite military unit named “Ghost” has deroyed high-value Russian radar stations and anti-aircraft missile launcher in eastern Donbas region.

Ukraine’ s Military Intelligence, known as HUR, shared video footage of the precision strikes on Russian air defence units. Among the destroyed facilties are a Tor-M1 short-range surface-to-air missile system, worth around $25 million, a 55K6 command post belonging to an S-400 air defense complex, a 9S18M1-3 radar station used in the Buk-M3 missile system.

The HUR released videos of high-precision strikes on Russian positions, and secondary detonations that disabled major air defence nodes that Russia Moscow relies on for protection of its forces and logistics centers. The Intelligence agency pleged to continue struggles against Russia. Comprised of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, industrial Donbas region has been the major venue of hostilities. Last month, Ghost unit carried out series of attacks on Russian air defence systems on Russian air defence systems in Donbas, destroying valuable military equipment and inflicting heavy losses on Russians.

In a statement, HUR, noted that the unit systematically struck Russian air defense positions and, in the most recent operations, hit two 48Ya6-K1 "Podlet" radar units and a 9A82 launcher belonging to an S-300V complex. Podlet is a modern mobile radar system developed by Russia to detect air targets at low and very low altitudes and can track up to 200 targets simultaneously.
