Ukraine shares satellite images of destroyed Russian aircraft in Rostov

Ukriane’s Umanned Systems Forces on Tuesday shared satellite photos of two Russian aircraft destroyed during a drone strike on the port city of Taganrog in Rostov region.

"What could be better reconnaissance for a pilot? There is a rather expensive car park in the swamps of Taganrog. An A-60 and an Il-76 [aircraft]. And in the hangar there is a bonus that will probably stay off camera, reads the message posted on Telegram alongside the photos.

Ukrainian forced launched an overnight attack on Taganrog city in Russia’s Rostov region, destroying two aircraft at the Beriev Aircraft Repair Plant TANTK on the night of 24-25 November. A-60 1A2 laser-equipped aircraft, an A-100 long-range aircraft and the workshop of the aircraft plant were struck during the attack on Taganrog. Moreover, the position of a Russian S-400 anti-aircraft missile system was also hit, although the consequences of the attack have yet to be determined. The air raid came amid relentless and intensified Ukrainian long-range strikes on Russian positions and facilities, including on high-value defence systems and other military equipment used in Russia’s war of invasion in Ukraine.
