Ukrainian army units have destroyed an elite Russian unit stationed on the Black Sea oil rig and S-400 Triumph air defence system in the Crimea Peninsula.
The Ukrainian Navy said it launched a drone attack on Russian special forces gathered on Sivash oil drilling rig on the Black Sea. “In addition to destroying Russian reconnaissance and surveillance equipment, an enemy anti-tank missile crew was eliminated,” the Navy’s statement said. The Ukrainian Navy released the video footage of the drone strike on the rig.
In a separate operation, Special Operations Forces of Ukraine's Armed Forces, know as HUR, struck a Russian S-400 Triumph air defence radar station in Crimea Peninsula.
“On the night of September 30, units of the Special Operations Forces struck a radar station of the Russian S-400 Triumph mobile surface-to-air missile system,” the agency stated, while also sharing the video of the operation.
According to the HUR's statement, the strikes destroyed a control point of a Russian S-400 Triumph air defense division, along with a 92N6E multifunctional radar and equipment from the autonomous power system of the S-400 command post. The HUR also struck an   AORL-1AS airfield surveillance radar and a P-18 Terek radar.
Being an updated version of S-300, Triumph S-400 is  designed to destroy strategic and tactical aircraft, ballistic and cruise missiles, and other aerial targets even under conditions of electronic warfare and countermeasures.
