Six injured in Russian attack on southeastern Ukraine

Six people, including children, were injured as Russia launched a barrage of missiles and drones on Nikopol and Synelnykove districts in southern Dnipropetrovsk region on February 7.

The head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Hanzha shared footage capturing the aftermath of the devastating attack Nikopol. Six apartment blocks and four private homes sustained damage, along with agricultural buildings, a veterinary clinic, a café, a bank, and two educational facilities. One vehicle was destroyed by fire, and two others were damaged. Power lines were also affected.

Russian army units also attacked the Synelnykove district. It sent drones and KABs there. The communities of Synelnykove, Pokrovske, Petropavlivka, and Slavhorod were affected.

Six people were injured in the attack, including children. A 4-year-old boy will recover at home, while a 17-year-old boy was hospitalised in moderate condition. Three adults were also hospitalised.

In addition, fires broke out. One private home was destroyed and several others were damaged. Farm buildings and a garage were also destroyed. 

Meanwhile, the General Staff of Ukrainian Armed Forces reported 241 combat engagements on February 7, with the Ukrainian troops repelling 63 Russian attacks in the Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka sectors of eastern Donetsk region.
