Russian strikes in eastern and southern parts of Ukraine killed at least three civilians and injured several others. Two civilians were killed in southern Kherson region as Russia launched barrage of artillery strikes on the morning of June 22, regional military administration reported on Telegram app. Two more persons sustained injuries in the bombardment of a residential area in Dniprovskyi district of Kherson.
Another civilian lost his life and four others were injured in Russian attack on the city of Kramatorsk in eastern Donetsk region on 21 June. "One person dead and four injured are the reported aftermath of yesterday’s strike on Kramatorsk, according to early reports as of 12:30,” head of Donetsk regional prosecutor’s office said. According to earlier reports, four people were trapped under the rubble, with search and rescue operations underway. According to the prosecutor's office, Russian forces attacked the city using a 250-kg guided high-explosive aerial bomb. The strike destroyed or damaged five multi-story buildings and 32 residential houses.
In yet another development on Sunday, Ukrainian intelligence struck a freight train carrying fuel for Russian forces in Russian-held parts of southeastern Zaporizhzhia region. Several fuel tanks intended for Russian military use were obliterated in the attack. “Another successful strike by the masters of military intelligence drones took place on the railway section between Levadne and Molochansk,” Defence Intelligence of Ukraine posted on its Facebook page, along with the video capturing the moment of the strike. Earlier, Ukraine’s Defence Intelligence reported destroying a Russian Buk-M3 missile system, an Imbir radar station, and a Pantsyr-S1 air defense system in Zaporizhzhia region.
