Zelenskiy to present “victory plan” during key visit to US

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy has arrived on a crucial visit in the United States where he will present his “victory plan” to end the war with Russia. Zelenskiy will present his proposal to President Joe Biden and presidential hopefuls Kamala Harris and Donald Trump.
Before landing in the US, Zelenskiy posted on X social media platform that the future of the war with Russia will be determined this fall.
“Together with our partners, we can strengthen our positions as needed for our victory - a shared victory for a truly just peace,” he wrote. During the visit, Zelenskiy visited Scranton plant, the Pennsylvania ammunition factory that is producing one of the most critically needed munitions for Ukraine. It manufactures 155mm artillery shells and has increased production over the past year. Representative Matt Cartwright, a Democrat who was among those who met with Zelenskyy at the Scranton army ammunition plant, said the president had a simple message: “Thank you. And we need more.”
Zelenskiy’s visit comes amid intense fighting on the frontline, with Russia advancing in eastern parts of Ukraine and Kyiv continuing incursion in Russia’s Kursk region and holding on to swathes of lands there.
