Ukraine says Russia lost more than 1,270 soldiers over past day

Russia has lost over 1,270 soldiers and suffered heavy losses in terms of military equipment on the frontline, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on Friday.
Making a post on its official Facebook page, the General Staff reported that Ukrainian troops destroyed 7,354 Russian tanks (+22 in the past day), 14,129 armored combat vehicles (+33), 12,102 artillery systems (+58), 1,053 multiple launch rocket systems, 786 air defense systems (+2), 348 aircraft, 325 helicopters, 9,580 unmanned aerial vehicles (+19), 2,126 cruise missiles, 26 warships/cutters, 1 submarine, 16,266 motor vehicles (+42), and 1,993 special equipment units (+5).
The General Staff also reported that 14 combat engagements were recorded on Ukraine’s front lines over the past day, with Ukrainian Armed Forces repelling most Russian attacks in the Avdiivka sector in eastern Donetsk region. Thus, in the past 24 hours, Russian forces launched three missile attacks, 70 air strikes, and 116 MLRS attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas. Three civilians have been injured and civilian infrastructure facilities were destroyed or damaged as a result of Russian attacks, the General Staff said.
Over the past day, Russian forces launched airstrikes on Krasnyi Khutir in the Chernihiv region, Seredyna-Buda in the Sumy region, Derhachi, Lyptsi, and Rublene in the Kharkiv region, Klishchiivka, Druzhba, Toretsk, Spirne, Vozdvyzhivka, Novooleksandrivka, Oleksandropil, Yevhenivka, Novopokrovske, Novoselivka Persha, Karlivka, Kostiantynivka, Vodiane, Vremivka, and Staromaiorske in the Donetsk region, Piatykhatky and Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region
Additionally, over 120 settlements in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions were subjected to Russian artillery fire. In the Kupiansk sector, Ukrainian forces successfully repelled 12 Russian attacks in the areas of Novoyehorivka, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Kyslivka, Berestove (Kharkiv region), Stelmakhivka (Luhansk region)
