Ukraine troops have destroyed a massive warehouse of thermobaric munitions in a strong explosion in eastern Donetsk region, the General Staff of Ukrainian Armed Forces reported on February 28. The General Staff described the target as a "thermobaric ammunition storage facility of the Russian invaders,” adding that the results of the attacks are still being determined.
A video circulated on social media showed the moment of explosion followed by a much larger explosion in what appears to be the detonation of material on the ground. The explosion occurred in Selydove village of Pokrovsk district where heavy battles are underway.
In a separate attack, Ukrainian troops targeted three strategic facilities in Russia, including Ilsky oil refinery in Russia's Krasnodar region. The attack on Ilsky oil refinery is the second one this month. The previous attack on the plant that has six oil refining units with a total capacity of 6.6 million tons per year, was launched on February 17 caused fire at the plant.
