Russian drone strikes kill a civilian in Kherson

Another civilian was killed and six others were severely injured in Russian drone attacks on Ukraine’s southern Kherson region on Sunday.
Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of Kherson Oblast Military, said that among the injured persons in Kindiika town was a woman aged 79. In addition, men aged 56 and 62 were injured due to a Russian drone attack in the region.
Kherson is frequently targeted by Russian forces, with some experts claiming that the attacks may serve as experiments for refining Moscow’s drone tactics and operator skills. It should be noted that another five people were killed and thirteen others were injured in Russian drone attacks on December 1 and December 4.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said on Monday that Russia launched around 500 guided aerial bombs, over 400 drones and 20 missiles of various types across Ukrainian cities in the past week. Moscow has been intensifying its attacks on Ukrainian regions and on its Ukraine-held Kursk region in an attempt o make territorial gains before signing the peace deal with Kyiv that is like to happened after US president-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration in January next year. Trump has been pushing for immediate cease-fire in Ukraine. Last month Russia deployed its "Oreshnik" intermediate-range ballistic missile, IRBM, in the attack on Ukraine’s Dnipro city, marking the first use of this missile in the three-year-old war between the two countries.
