Russia’s losses in Ukraine surpass half a million

Russia lost 562,510 servicemen in Ukraine since the start of the war in February 2020, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported. In a post on its official Facebook page on Wednesday, the General Staff stated that 1,110 Russian soldiers were killed in the past day.
Russia also suffered losses in terms of military hardware. Thus, Ukraine destroyed 11 Russian tanks, 9 armoured combat vehicles, 43 artillery systems, one MLR, one air defence system, 31 operational and tactical UAVs cruise missiles, 61 vehicles and tankers, 9 special equipment during the battles over the past day.
Overall, Russia has lost 8238 tanks, 15,871 armoured combat vehicles, 15,411 artillery systems, 1,120 MLRS, 893 air defence systems, 361 aircraft, and 326 helicopters, 12,224 Operational and tactical UAVs, 2,398 cruise missiles, 28ships and boats, one submarine, 20,741 vehicles and tankers, 2,586 special equipment since launching full-fledged war of invasion in Ukraine in February 2020.
It should be noted that 86 combat engagements took place between Russia and Ukrainian troops on the front on Tuesday.
