Russia repels large wave of overnight Ukrainian drone attacks

Moscow on Friday said it repelled dozens of Ukrainian drone attacks with at least one of the drones hitting an oil depot and sparking a fire. Overall, 83 Ukrainian drones were destroyed across Russian regions and Russia-held Crimea Peninsula. Russian Defence Ministry stated that 71 drones were shot down over Kursk, Bryansk, Voronezh, Oryol and Belgorod regions overnight.

Some 36 drones were shod down over Kursk region, 20 over Bryansk region, 12 over occupied Crimea Peninsula, eight over Voronezh region, four over Oryol region, and three over Belgorod region.

One of the drones fell on an oil depot in southern Stavropol region in the town of Svetlograd. The regional Governor Vladimir Vladimiro said no casualties were reported during the attack on the oil depot owned by Russian energy company Rosneft, adding that emergency services were at the scene.

Bryansk Oblast governor Alexander Bogomaz said one person was injured as a drone hit an apartment building in the city of Bryansk. Videos circulated in Russian Telegram channels showed the some of the drone attacks across the country.
