Russia lost over 1,150 soldiers in hostilities in Ukraine over past day

Ukrainian troops killed another 1,150 Russian servicemen during the hostilities on October 8, bringing Russia’s total losses to 664,120 personnel since the start of the war in February 2020. Revealing Russia’s losses in its official page, the General Staff of Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that "due to the continuous influx of intelligence update, there has been a need to adjust some positions regarding the overall losses of the enemy, including UAVs and aircraft.”
“The total figure has been adjusted, and daily losses are reported in the usual manner," the message stated.
The General Staff also revealed Russia’s losses in terms of military equipment. Thus, Russia lost four tanks, 11 armored fighting vehicles, 19 artillery systems, 31 operational-tactical level UAVs, 55 vehicles and fuel tankers, 12 units of special equipment during the fighting in the past 24 hours.
Overall, Ukrainian troops have destroyed 8,944 tanks, 17,751 armored fighting vehicles, 19,222 artillery systems, 1,223 multiple rocket launchers, 973 air defense systems, 369 aircraft, 328 helicopters, 16,718 operational-tactical level UAVs, 2,618 cruise missiles, 28 ships/boats, 1 submarine, 26,240 vehicles and fuel tankers, 3,385 units of special equipment of the Russian Federation since over two years of the war.
Russia has not revealed its wartime losses since its start of full-fledged invasion of neighbouring Ukraine.
