Russia captures two more villages in Donetsk as Ukrainian troops continue to lose ground

Russian troops captured two more villages in Ukraine’s eastern Donetsk region on the night leading to November 27 and continues to advance In Kharkiv, Deep State source close to the Ukrainian army reported on Wednesday.
The captured areas are the village of Novoselydivka Kurakhove city as well as Petrivka village on the Pokrovsk city in Donetsk region. In addition, Russian forces have advanced near the village of Novomlynsk and in the village of Kruhliakivka in Kharkiv region.
“In addition, Russians made gains near the settlements of Zhovte, Pustynka, Pushkine, Rozdolne, Rozlyv, Veselyi Hai, Rivnopil, Sontsivka, Berestky and Kurakhove [in Donetsk region],” DeppState added.
Russia has been making gains in Ukraine’s east since July and has re-captured around 40 percent of Ukrainian held territories in border Kursk region where Kyiv stage scale-incursion in early August. On 26 November, Russian troops had achieved a new weekly record in territorial gains since the start of the full-fledged invasion in February 2022, capturing nearly 235 square kilometres of Ukrainian territory. More than 1000 sq km was taken between 1 September and 3 November, suggesting the push accelerated in recent months.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly said the army is advancing much more effectively, and that Russia will achieve all its aims in Ukraine, although he has not spelt them out in detail.
