Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has issued a warning to the Houthis, stating they will face a "heavy price" for their actions against Israel. In a statement from his office after Israeli strikes on Houthi targets in Yemen, Netanyahu said, "As we promised, the Houthis are paying, and will continue to pay, a heavy price for their aggression against us." He added that Israel is targeting sites along Yemen's coast and deeper within the country.

Netanyahu described the Houthis as an extension of Iran, serving the terrorist objectives of the Iranian axis in the Middle East. He warned that they pose a threat to both Israel and the broader region, including global maritime security. "We will act with determination and force against any entity that threatens Israel—whenever and wherever necessary," he declared.

Earlier, the Israeli Defense Forces reported conducting airstrikes on Houthi targets in Yemen, in response to recent attacks on Israeli territory. The strikes hit military installations near the Hizaz power station and the ports of Al Hodeida and Ras Isa on Yemen's western coast.
