Moscow accidentally bombs Russian-controlled city in eastern Ukraine

A Russian military plane has accidentally dropped a bomb over Ukraine’s occupied eastern Luhansk region while making an emergency release, Russian-installed authorities reported on Monday.
“While carrying out combat operations, a Russian Air Force aircraft made an emergency release of a FAB-250 warhead over the city of Rubizhne,” Leonid Pasechnik, the Kremlin-installed head of occupied Luhansk announced on Telegram. Search and rescue operation is underway to evacuate those remaining under rubbles.
There have been no casualties during the incident. The incident in Rubizhne comes a week after a Russian military plane accidentally bombed a village while releasing an emergency bomb in western Russia’s Voronezh region. No one was killed or injured during the incident.
Meanwhile, Russia subjected to missile attacks on Ukraine's Kharkiv region on Monday, killing one and injuring four others. A 62-year-old woman who was found under the rubble of a house in Kharkiv Oblast’s city of Zmiiv died of her injuries, the regional governor Oleh Syniehubov reported. A Russian airstrike was also recorded in Ukraine’s second-largest city of Kharkiv in the same region on Sunday. Although there were no casualties reported.
Russia has recently intensified ballistic missile and drone attacks on residential areas across Ukraine. Moscow is even accused of using ballistic missiles acquired from North Korea in its attacks against Ukraine’s civilian areas. Officials in the Kremlin have refrained from commenting on these claims.
