Ukrainian troops have killed 1,580 soldiers in the past 24 hours, brining the number of Russia’s total combat losses to 735,410 soldiers since the start of the full-fledged invasion of Ukraine February 2022, General Staff of Ukrainian Armed Forces reported on Wednesday.
In a statement posted on its Facebook post, the General Staff reported that Ukraine inflicted heavy losses on Russia in terms of military hardware and equipment.
Ukrainian armed forces destroyed the following enemy equipment: 14 tanks, 48 armored fighting vehicles, 24 artillery systems, 1 multiple-launch rocket systems, MLRS, one air defense system, 64 operational-tactical UAVs, 84 vehicles and fuel tanks, 4 special equipment belonging to the Russian army during the hostilities in the past 24 hours.
Overall, Russia has lost 9,449 tanks, 19,304 armored fighting vehicles, 2,083 artillery systems, 1,255 multiple-launch rocket systems, 1,005 air defense system, 369 aircraft, 329 helicopters, 19,616 operational-tactical UAVs, 2,765 cruise missiles, 28 warships/boats, 1 submarine, 30,126 vehicles and fuel tanks, 3,687 special equipment since the start of the war nearly three years ago.
Ukraine on Monday struck a Russian S-400 air-defence system in Kursk region with the use of US-supplied ATACMS long-range missiles.
Russia has not publicized information about its losses in the war in Ukraine. Despite high number of combat losses Russia has been making gains in the east of Ukraine since July. Kremlin also has recaptured around 40 percent of territories seized by Ukraine during a cross-border incursion on Kursk in early August.
