Germany has unveiled new military aid bundle for Ukraine that includes RCH 155 howitzers that had been much wanted by Ukraine, as well as drones, and ammunition for LEOPARD 1 tanks. The military package was announced by the German Defence Ministry on Tuesday
The military aid to Urkaine includes 18 wheeled self-propelled howitzers RCH 155, 5 Marder infantry fighting vehicles, 9 AITO30 FDC (wheeled infantry fighting vehicle RCT-30 with a mobile fire control center), 20 MRAP armored vehicles with mine protection, ammunition for the Leopard 1 main battle tank, 14,000 155mm shells, 19,000 122mm cartridges, 11,000 120mm mortar rounds, 495 HK 416 assault rifles, 600 HF-1 strike UAVs, 50 VECTOR UAVs with spare parts, 46 RQ-35 HEIDRUN reconnaissance drones, 43 SONGBIRD reconnaissance drones, 277 mine-resistant vehicles (MRAP)
According to the website of the Federal Government, Germany has made military aid worth around 28 billion euros available to support Ukraine or has made it available for the coming years. Some 2.9 billion euros were issued in the first two years of the war as commitment authorizations for deliveries that will only be made between 2025 and 2028. Military aid worth around 7.1 billion euros was supplied by German in 2024 alone.
