Belarus, Azerbaijan eye boosting political, economic ties

Belarus and Azerbaijan have expressed readiness to enhance strategic partnership and boost ties in trade and investment.
The ties between the two countries were discussed during the meeting of Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with Belarusian Foreign Minister Maxim Ryzhenkov on the sidelines of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly on September 28.
During the meeting, Bayramov and Ryzhenkov expresed satisfaction with the level of strategic partnership relations between the two countries, and emphasized that continuing high-level meetings and political dialogue is important in terms of identifying new areas of cooperation and taking the partnership to a qualitatively new level, Azerbaijani state news agency Azertag reported.
It was noted that the dialogue between the leaders of the two countries plays an important role in the development of relations between Azerbaijan and Belarus. “The prospects for cooperation in various areas of the economy, including trade and investment, were emphasized, as was the importance of using these opportunities,” Azertag reported.
The meeting also emphasized the potential for cooperation in various economic sectors, particularly in trade and investment, and underscored the importance of leveraging these opportunities.
