A mother, father and daughter were killed in a Russian attack on a residential building in Ukraine’s southeastern Zaporizhzhia city on late Friday, local media reported.

Zaporizhzhia regional governor, Ivan Fedorov, said the city was struck by more than 12 drones, killing three and wounding 14 people. The governor said that residential buildings, cars and communal buildings were set on fire as a result of the attack. Photos from the scene showed emergency services rescuing survivors from under the rubbles.

Two more people were killed in Russian attacks on eastern Donetsk region and one more in Kherson. Ukraine’s Air Force reported intercepting 100 out of 179 Russian drones overnight.  Across the border, a Ukrainian drone struck an apartment building in Russia’s  southern Rostov-on-Don city, injuring two people and damaging six apartments, local officials said.

The exchange of air strikes comes as Russia and Ukraine agreed on Wednesday to a 30-day partial truce involving energy grids after US President Donald Trump talked to both countries’ leaders via a phone call this week. There were conflicting reports about the content of the truce deal. While the White House said "energy and infrastructure" would be part of the agreement, Moscow declared that the truce covered only "energy infrastructure".
