Ukraine confirms strike on oil facilities in Russia, annexed Crimea

The General Staff of Ukrainian Armed Forces has confirmed the strike on oil pumping station in Russia’s southern Krasnodar region and the Hvardiiske oil depot in Crimea Peninsula on Saturday night. Both facilities had reportedly been used to support the Russian military.

In a statement published on April 11, the General Staff said the strikes were launched jointly with Security Service of Ukraine, SSU, on the night leading to April 11.

Strikes were also registered in ammunition depot near the settlements of Makedonivka and Donetsk in eastern Donetsk Oblast and Osypenko in southeastern Zaporizhzhia region. Moreover, there were attacks on a drone command post near Konovalove in Zaporizhzhia region and Hola Prystan in Kherson region.

Concentrations of Russian forces were reportedly targeted near Stepove in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, as well as Stepnohirsk, Pryazovske, and Rybne in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

Authorities are still collecting information to determine the extent of Russian casualties and the overall damage caused by the strikes.

According to sources within the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) cited by Ukrainska Pravda, drones operated by the SSU’s Special Operations Centre “Alpha,” in coordination with Ukraine’s security and defence agencies, carried out an attack on the Krymskaya linear production dispatch station in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai.

The facility is part of the Tikhoretsk–Novorossiysk-2 main oil pipeline system and is owned by the Russian state pipeline company Transneft. It is responsible for transporting and storing fuel, including supplies intended for use at the Krymsk tactical aviation base and the Russian Black Sea Fleet facility in Novorossiysk.

Local officials reported that the strike caused a fire at the oil storage site, along with damage to infrastructure critical to its operation.

On the night of April 10–11, a fire broke out at an oil depot in Krymsk, Krasnodar Krai, which authorities said was caused by falling drone debris. However, Ukrainian Telegram channels later reported that the Krymskaya dispatch station had been struck again.
